2 New Rochelle High School Students Arrested Following Melee Across from City Hall

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A pair of New Rochelle High School students were arrested Wednesday after police responded to a report of an “altercation involving youths” in the vicinity of 542 North Avenue, across the street from City Hall. The incident occurred at 3:32 p.m. near North Avenue and Horton Avenue.

Responding officers arrested Tyquan Carcamo, 17, of New Rochelle and a 14 year-old who was charged as a juvenile with Reckless Endangerment. Carcamo was charged with Disorderly Conduct, a violation. Police are not releasing the name of the 14 year-old.

One 16 year-old male received a minor laceration to his head during the altercation and was conveyed to the hospital for treatment.  He was released later that day. 

The circumstances surrounding the injury remain under investigation, according to police.
