NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Susan B. Anthony, Lucretia Mott and Carrie Chapman were three pivotal figures in the fight for women’s right to vote. Each of the three women also had distinct ties to New Rochelle.
At the Friday, March 16th “League of Women Voters’ Coffee and Conversation,” city historian Barbara Davis will give an illustrated presentation on the three courageous, brilliant women and the time they spent in New Rochelle. The topic is in honor of the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, which occurred on November 16, 1917.
Complimentary coffee and light breakfast fare will be served. The free public meeting, open to all, is held in the library’s first floor meeting room.
