NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Each year, the Barnard Early Childhood Center community comes together to appreciate Amy’s Greenhouse, where the school has drawn from the Sept. 11, 2001, tragedy to create a place of life and learning.

This year’s 9-11 Memorial Ceremony will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The event is held in honor and memory of Amy O’Doherty. The greenhouse was built in 2005 with donations made in the name of O’Doherty, who perished in the Twin Towers. Her mother, Geraldine Davie, was a teacher at Barnard at the time. A wooden gazebo and a patio of tan paving stones were added later.

If you would like to attend, RSVP to Kathleen Connolly at 914-261-7371 or amysgreenhouse@nredlearn.org.
