Majority of Official Canvass of Absentee Ballots in New Rochelle Contain Errors

Written By: Robert Cox

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A majority of the Official Canvass of Absentee Ballots forms completed by Election Inspectors contain obvious errors raising questions about the validity of any of the vote counts in the 2020 New Rochelle School Election.

The tally sheets are wrong for SED 2 (Christopher Columbus Elementary School), SED 4 (Thomas Jefferson Elementary School), SED 5 (MLK-95 Lincoln), SED 6 (New Rochelle High School), SED 10 (Isaac E. Young Middle School), SED 11 (Salesian High School), SED 12 (William B. Ward Elementary School) and SED 13 (570 Fifth Ave).

SED 2, SED 4, SED 6, SED 11 and SED13 inaccurately reported the number of Canvassed Absentees v. Ballots Found on the Voter Registration List which in another way of saying they inaccurately recorded the number of voided ballots.

SED 5 and SED 12 significantly overstated the number of ballots cast; in SED 12 more ballots were reported cast (2,576) than registered voters in SED 12 (2,309). A hand count of SED 12 ballots cast by Talk of the Sound showed just 614 ballots cast, about one-fourth of the 2,576 reported on the tally sheet.
