NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Westchester County Police responded to a rollover accident about 8:15 p.m. on the northbound Hutch in Eastchester just north of Exit 14/Pelhamdale Road.
The vehicle was found unoccupied.
“There was a concern that an injured person or persons may have wandered from the area or been ejected from the vehicle,” said a WCPD Spokesperson. “A search was conducted of snowy and wooded areas near the scene by our Patrol officers, members of Eastchester Fire Department and our Aviation Unit.”
New Rochelle residents from the Eastchester Road area reported a helicopter circling overhead.
As the search was under way, a Bronx man arrived at the scene and subsequently reported that he had been the driver of the vehicle.
