Rye Man Charged with Rape after Dispute IFO Rye PD HQ

RYE, NY (May 6, 2024) — On April 7, 2024, Officers responded to a domestic dispute taking place in the front of Rye Police Headquarters. The two parties were separated and interviewed. During one of the interviews the female stated Alvarado had raped her earlier in the day. A search warrant was executed at Alvarado’s residence and evidence was collected with the assistance of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety’s Forensic Investigative Unit.

Arrest & Charge:

Angel Alvarado, 23, of Rye, NY

  • Rape — 3, an E felony

Alvarado was processed at Rye Police Headquarters. He was arraigned in

Rye City Court and is being held on $15,000 cash bail at the Westchester County

Department of Correction.
