WVOX Radio Veteran Richard Littlejohn Dies After Cancer Battle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (February 14, 2026) — Richard E. Littlejohn, a longtime radio professional at WVOX in New Rochelle who was known to listeners familiar with the station, died Jan. 28, 2026, after a “brave and courageous battle with cancer.” He was 62. 

Littlejohn was born Oct. 26, 1963, and grew up in Rye, where friends and family called him “Ricky.” 

A visitation was held Feb. 6 at Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home in Brooklyn from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a committal service took place Feb. 7 at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., according to service information. 

The obituary noted Littlejohn’s life and invited those who knew him to remember his contributions on the air and in the community.
