NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 31, 2023) — The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has announced Leslie Rodriguez as its Youth of the Year for 2026. Rodriguez is a junior at New Rochelle High School.
The club also recognized three adults as Champions for Youth: Gustavo Barbosa, Brian Bracey and Rachel Estroff. Barbosa is the Social Studies and Business Department Chairman at New Rochelle High School. Estroff serves as Chief of Staff to New York State Sen. Shelley Mayer. Bracey is the Director of Operations for the City of New Rochelle Public Works and was a member of the Boys & Girls Club Remington Clubhouse in his youth.
Community Impact
The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle operates two clubhouses in New Rochelle, in addition to locations in local schools and sites in Larchmont and Mamaroneck. In 2025, the club served over 12,000 youths.
