NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 24, 2026) — The New Rochelle Public Library has been selected as a featured case study at the Library Journal Design Institute, announced Eugenia Schatoff, Executive Director of the Library. The event, which gathers librarians, architects, and designers to tackle facility challenges, will be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, D.C., on May 19.
“This is an exciting and meaningful recognition of the work we are doing as part of our master facility planning process,” Schatoff said. “What a great way to end National Library Week.”
As a case study, the library’s project will be highlighted for a national audience, providing the New Rochelle Public Library team with insights from experienced architects. The library is seeking voter approval for a $55 million bond to revitalize the building, with a vote scheduled for May 19, 2026.
