ARDSLEY, NY (May 23, 2026) — Westchester County beaches will open on Memorial Day weekend, providing residents with an opportunity to enjoy the unofficial start of summer outdoors. The beaches will operate on weekends and holidays only until June 21. Starting June 26, Glen Island and Playland Beaches will open daily, while Croton Point Beach will continue its weekend and holiday schedule through Labor Day. Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with the last entry at 6 p.m. Proof of Westchester County residency is required at Glen Island, and entry and parking fees apply.
All five county-owned pools, including facilities in Rye, White Plains, Mount Vernon, and Yonkers, will open daily starting June 26. Pool hours are also 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with entry fees applicable at all locations and parking fees at Playland and Tibbetts Brook Park.
