Man Wounded in New Rochelle Shooting on Harrison Street

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 5, 2026) — A man was wounded in a shooting near 2 Harrison Street in New Rochelle late Sunday night, police said.

New Rochelle Police officers responded at approximately 10:46 p.m. Oct. 4 to multiple calls reporting gunfire near 2 Harrison Street. Officers arrived within minutes and found an adult male lying in front of the deli at that location.

The man was conscious but bleeding from the back of his head, police said. Officers focused on ensuring he received medical attention while emergency medical personnel responded.

Emergency medical personnel provided care at the scene before transporting the man to a local hospital. He was listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are withholding his name at this time.

While the man was being treated and transported, officers secured the area, searched for evidence and attempted to identify potential witnesses.

Police said an anonymous individual reported seeing two men dressed in all black running toward Cedar Street shortly after the shooting.
