MAMARONECK, NY (October 5, 2026) — Village of Mamaroneck police charged David Vogt with third-degree burglary and two counts of attempted third-degree burglary following a commercial break-in and two attempted break-ins at businesses over the weekend.

Police said the three cases occurred during the evening of Oct. 3 at Picone’s Sausage and Wholesale Meats, 180 Jefferson Avenue Extension; Los Primos, 665 Old White Plains Road; and Mamaroneck Body Works, 744 Old White Plains Road.

Officers responded Saturday evening to an alarm activation at Picone’s Sausage and Wholesale Meats and found damaged glass at the business entrance. A witness reported seeing a person strike the glass before fleeing when the alarm sounded, police said. The person did not gain entry.

Later that evening, officers responded to Los Primos following a report of an attempted burglary. Police said witness accounts and surveillance footage showed a person attempting to break the front glass door with a brick before leaving the area. No entry was made and nothing was reported stolen.

On Sunday morning, officers responded to Mamaroneck Body Works after employees discovered damage to the entrance. Detectives determined that a suspect had broken the glass door and entered the business the previous evening, according to police.

Patrol officers and detectives interviewed witnesses, reviewed surveillance footage, collected physical evidence and canvassed the surrounding area. Police said the investigation led to the identification of Vogt as a suspect.

Detectives from the Investigations Division located and arrested Vogt on Monday morning, police said. He was charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony, and two counts of attempted third-degree burglary, Class E felonies.

Vogt was processed and was being held pending arraignment, according to police.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department thanked witnesses and business owners for their cooperation with the investigations.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
