NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 5, 2026) — The City of New Rochelle Youth Bureau has launched a Year-Round Youth Employment Program, following the success of its Summer Youth Employment Program. The new initiative aims to provide young people, ages 14–20, with expanded opportunities to gain work experience and develop job-readiness skills throughout the year.
The program will offer 8-week employment sessions during the Fall, Winter, and Spring, allowing participants to work up to 18 hours per week at a rate of $17 per hour. Thirty youth will be selected for each session, and participants must meet the Youth Employment Program income eligibility guidelines. Applications are due by October 14 at 4:00 PM, and emailed applications will not be accepted.

Youth selected for the program will engage in job-readiness skills training and gain hands-on work experience. The initiative is designed to help young people strengthen professional skills, explore career interests, and gain practical experience that supports their future education and employment goals.
Funding for the Year-Round Youth Employment Program is provided through the Westchester-Putnam Workforce Board. “We are pleased to be a recipient of this funding, which continues our commitment to providing quality work experiences for our youth,” said Youth Bureau’s Executive Director Kelly Johnson.
Eligible youth are encouraged to apply by the deadline. The Year-Round Youth Employment Program will operate alongside the existing Summer Youth Employment Program.
