More than (300) local and tri-state tastemakers, business executives, socialites and politicians including New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson attended the event.

The hugely successful evening was emceed by New Rochelle’s own Tony Aiello of CBS 2 News who called the queen city of New Rochelle is “a great place to live and raise a family” and stated he was honored to be a part of The Boys & Girls Club’s festivities. The crowd swayed to the smooth sounds of New Rochelle High School graduate and current Columbia University student Isaac Assor at keyboard during cocktails in the lavishly decorated community room and later dined on Caribbean cuisine from Chef El-Amin.

A moving moment for the crowd was Executive Director Quay Watkins’ tribute to long time club supporter, community leader and friend Janifer Lighten, who recently lost her battle to cancer. Mrs. Watkins said Lighten made a lasting impact on the children who walked through the Club’s doors and epitomized the mission “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens”. But light notes prevailed throughout the night as member/ volunteers took the dance floor with adults to dance. The night was capped off with a Silent Auction that included a Vail Holiday Ski trip; Romantic Overnight Stay in the Big Apple, World Champion NY Giant tickets and behind the scenes passes to “Anderson Cooper 360.”
