NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Francisco Maldonado of New Rochelle was one of five youngsters honored by the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium during the 48th annual salute of the Con Edison Yankees Kids program.
New York Yankees great Jim Leyritz (back row – right) presented official certificates.
The Yankees Kids, one from each borough, Westchester County and one representing Orange and Rockland counties, are selected for their academic excellence, leadership and sportsmanship.
For more than four decades, the Con Edison Yankees Kid Program has provided more than four million New York youths with free Yankees tickets.
