Administrators, staff and students of New Rochelle William B. Ward Elementary School recently celebrated the opening of its refurbished library, according to information posted to the City School District of New Rochelle’s facebook page.
Superintendent Dr. Brian Osborne and Principal Franco Miele conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony held recently. Present were students, parents, teachers and administrators. More than 1,000 students from kindergarten through fifth grade made the new look possible by reading for 1,487,477 minutes and raising about $44,000 during Parent Teacher Association-led Read-a-thons.
