WHITE PLAINS, NY — County Executive Robert P. Astorino invites everyone to bring all their friends and loved ones to Playland Park in Rye on Sunday, Aug. 7, to celebrate International Friendship Day.
“Playland has always been a great place to bring old friends and meet new ones, so the special activities and discounted admission pricing planned for International Friendship Day are even more great reasons to come out to the park,” Astorino said.
For International Friendship Day, the county’s Parks Department is offering a $15 rides admission special for the entire day. To add to the fun, representatives from The 95.5 WPLJ Street Team, the Westchester Knicks, the New York City Football Club, and the Westchester County Police K-9 Unit will be on hand with lots of activities and giveaways. Receive a free friendship bracelet from Playland, while supplies last. In addition to regular programming, enjoy Pete & Chris Magic shows in Kiddyland at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and singer-songwriter Allison Altschiller on the main stage at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The day is additionally sponsored by News 12 Westchester and the Rockland Boulders.
Parking is $15 on this special-event day.
