NEW ROCHELLE, NY — On January 28th, New Rochelle Police arrested a 14 year-old female at New Rochelle High School on a charge of Falsely Reporting an Incident. The police would not provide further information given the student’s age.
On the same day, school officials at New Rochelle High School sent out an alert to the school community regarding an evacuation at the high school.
“A fire alarm station was pulled by a student at 10:47 a.m.,” read the alert. “The student has been identified and we have reported this to the police.”
The alert went on to add that an announcement was made to the students explaining that pulling a fire alarm is a misdemeanor and a serious offence.
On and unrelated note, police responded to an alleged assault at New Rochelle High School on January 23rd.
“It is open case involving one or more juveniles, and is therefore not available for release,” said NRPD Captain George Rosenbergen.
