NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Nicholas Gomes-Suppa appeared before Judge Susan I. Kettner on Friday for the first time since he was released from the Westchester County Jail after posting bail.
Gomes-Suppa’s attorney told Judge Kettner she has been in “favorable discussions with the ADA” that may lead to “a disposition in the case”.
Talk of the Sound recently obtained the arrest report from the case and now has added details on the night of the arrest.
On the night of October 15th, Nicholas Suppa, 29, of New Rochelle was arrested following a traffic stop near the intersection of Webster Avenue and Thomas Place. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department recovered a “custom assembled” 9MM handgun with an extended magazine, according to a press release attributed to the New Rochelle Police Department.
Early in the morning of October 16th, please went to a house on Rosehill Avenue and recovered more weapons from Suppa’s residence, among them what the press release described as an AR-15 “Assault” Rifle, an “Assault” shotgun and a 9MM Glock handgun with seven large capacity magazines.
Bail was set by Kettner at Suppa’s arraignment on October 16th at $50,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond or $50,000 partially secured by 10% or $5,000. Suppa was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Westchester County Jail (he has since made bail and been released).
Gomes-Suppa, listed in court records as Nicholas Suppa and Nicholas R. Suppa in Corrections Department records, was assigned to Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) as a result of the drug charge.
Gomes-Suppa is due back in court on November 13, 2020.
