ALBANY, NY (July 19, 2022) — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Westchester County motorists that the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound ramps to and from Exit 6 (East Lincoln Avenue) in the City of Mount Vernon and the Village of Pelham are expected to close, weeknights beginning Tuesday, July 19 through Friday, July 22, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., to accommodate paving operations, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect delays and utilize Exit 7 or Exit 5B in Mount Vernon and Pelham as an alternate.

The lane closures are necessary to facilitate an ongoing bridge replacement and rehabilitation project in Lower Westchester.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
