NEW ROCHELLE, NY (January 24, 2026) — The New Rochelle Police Department, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle and the Mariano Rivera Foundation I s offering a 12-week Police Career Pathway Program to introduce young adults to law enforcement careers through hands-on experience and mentorship.
The program is designed to provide participants with direct exposure to real-world policing. It includes job shadowing, skill building and guidance from police professionals.
Officers will dedicate their time, knowledge and commitment to work closely with participants, offering insight into policing, public service and career readiness.
The program runs from February 17 to May 4. Sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Mascaro Clubhouse, 79 Seventh Street, New Rochelle.
Participants will gain firsthand exposure to police work, develop professional skills and build relationships with law enforcement mentors.
A $400 stipend will be provided upon completion.
The program is open to individuals ages 18 to 24.
