RYE, NY (April 2, 2026) — A Bethel, Connecticut, woman was arrested by the Rye Police Department for allegedly stealing jewelry from her employer’s home in Rye.
Joise Cabral-Rosa, 30, was taken into custody on April 2 following an investigation by Rye Police Detectives. The investigation began after a report was filed on March 12 regarding a missing family heirloom ring. The resident noticed the ring missing after returning from work on February 2, 2026. Cabral-Rosa turned herself in and was charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, both class A misdemeanors. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Rye Court on April 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
