NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 17, 2026) — New Rochelle police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the April 4 shooting at the Heritage Homes complex, authorities said.
See separate story: The alleged gunman was apprehended in New Jersey, arraigned on attempted murder charges, and released on bail.
Jamal Sinclair, 37, of Mount Vernon, was arrested April 16 by New Rochelle Police Department detectives. Police said Sinclair was identified during an ongoing investigation into the shooting and was taken into custody without incident.
Sinclair is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a C felony, and reckless endangerment in the first degree, a D felony.
Prior to the latest arrest, three suspects had been charged in connection with the April 4 multiple-shooter gunfire incident at Heritage Homes: Jeremy Maybury, 35, of New Rochelle; Anthony Parris, 35, of New Rochelle; and Charles Larrier, 33, of New Rochelle.
Maybury, who had suffered a gunshot wound, was apprehended at a hospital in New Jersey following the April 4 shooting and held there for several days before being transferred to New York. He was later arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on charges including attempted murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree, and pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 insured bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond, which was posted, and he was released pending further proceedings. A request for comment has been sent to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office regarding whether Maybury waived extradition.
Parris was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
Larrier was charged with attempted murder in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm in the first degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
Parris and Larrier were released by court order as the case proceeded.
