NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 17, 2026) — One of five alleged gunmen in the April 4 shooting at the Heritage Homes complex in New Rochelle was arraigned on attempted murder and weapons charges and released after posting bail, according to court records.

Police on April 16 arrested a fourth suspect in the case, according to a separate report.

Jeremy Maybury, 35, of New Rochelle, was charged with attempted murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment April 14, 2026, in New Rochelle City Court.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 insured bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond, which was posted, and Maybury was released pending further proceedings. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 8, 2026.

Maybury, who had suffered a gunshot wound, was apprehended at a hospital in New Jersey following the April 4 shooting, held there on a detainer, and released on April 14, 2026, before being transferred the same day to Westchester County for arraignment.

The charges stem from a multiple-shooter gunfire incident at the Heritage Homes complex on Rhoda Quash Lane, where police said numerous rounds were fired and bullets struck residential buildings. Authorities have charged multiple individuals in connection with the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A request for comment has been sent to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office regarding whether Maybury waived extradition from New Jersey.
