Midday Main Street Stabbing in Downtown New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (May 7, 2026) — New Rochelle Police responded at about 12:17 to a reported stabbing on Main Street between Centre Avenue and Division Street earlier this afternoon.

Multiple people were involved in an altercation with one person slashed in the face. according to police. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Several people are in custody.

Jim Killorin was on scene. He said on Facebook that four men got into a fight and one was stabbed.
