Port Chester Man Charged With Possession, Promotion of Child Sex Abuse Material

WHITE PLAINS, NY (June 26, 2026) — Christopher Mendoza, 21, from Port Chester, was charged with two felonies, according to Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace.

Mendoza was arraigned Wednesday on charges of Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony. He was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.

Charges and Allegations

According to the felony complaint, Mendoza allegedly shared a digital video via Snapchat showing an adult male sexually abusing a female child approximately 7 to 10 years old on February 5, 2025. On January 30, 2026, he allegedly possessed a video file of a nude female child engaging in sexual activity.

The case was investigated by the Hi-Technology Crime Squad within the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the New York State Police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

DA Cacace emphasized the commitment to identifying and apprehending individuals like Mendoza. “Our investigators work tirelessly with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to identify and apprehend individuals like Christopher Mendoza who promote this obscene material. We will continue to aggressively pursue anyone who attempts to exploit the most vulnerable members of society, our children,” she said.

The case is being prosecuted by Cyber Crimes Bureau Chief Michael Delohery.
