NEW ROCHELLE, NY — “City People and Issues,” a cable television program sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New Rochelle, is offering two new interview programs–shown on Cablevision Channel 76 on Mondays at 7 pm, Wednesdays at 9 pm and Thursdays at 9:30 pm—as follows:

New Rochelle Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Osborne and Board of Education President Lianne Merchant explain the need for a bond issue to pay for deferred maintenance to school buildings to protect the safety of students and provide an up-to-date learning environment. The leaders explain the process used to determine the needs, the various bonding options and transparency about the process with taxpayers.  Ina Aronow hosts the program, which will be shown during the weeks of April 4 and 18 and May 2.

Two officers from the New Rochelle Police Department, Det. Lt. Gary Robinson and Det. Dario Navarette from the Police and Community Together task force, give important tips on how to dial help from a cell phone,  how to avoid scams and fraud and other safety programs.  The interview, with host Haina Just-Michael¸ will be shown during the weeks of April 11 and 25 and May 9.
