School Leaders, Counselors Take on New Positions in District

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The 2018-2019 school year in the City School District of New Rochelle began with several administrators in new positions.

New Rochelle High School Assistant Principal Joseph Starvaggi is serving as the school’s interim principal. Camille Edwards-Thomas, who had been House II principal in the high school, is the interim assistant principal.

Educator Fredericka Butler has been named interim assistant principal at ALMS. Patrick Keevins vacated the position earlier. 

William Mackin, who retired as dean of ALMS in 2016, has been named interim House II principal at NRHS.

Counselor Francis X. Curley has been named interim director of guidance at the high school. Gregg Sloane, the former director, has returned to serving as a counselor.

Bridget Merturi, a former assistant principal in the Greenburgh-Graham School District, has been named assistant principal at Trinity Elementary School. The post was vacated when Michael Hilderbrand was promoted to principal, replacing Anthony DiCarlo, who left for a position in another district.
